What is a session?

Dining orders → Table sessions

A table session represents one group of guests from sit-down to bill settlement.

  • Open a session when guests are seated.
  • All POS orders during the visit link to that session.
  • Close the session after payment to free the table.

Session statuses

Dining orders → Table sessions

Track where each table is in the service cycle.

  • Open - guests seated, orders may still be added.
  • Billed - bill presented or payment in progress.
  • Closed - completed and table released.
  • Cancelled - session voided without a completed sale.

Multiple rounds

POS · Table sessions

Guests can order in rounds; all rounds stay on the same session.

  • Send additional rounds from POS while the session is open.
  • Each round can include KOT items sent to the kitchen separately.
